US Census schedules are among the most useful resources available to family historians. They contain valuable information about occupants of each household on a specific date.
The official enumeration day of the 1810 US Census was 6 August 1810. All questions asked were supposed to refer to that date. By 1810, there were a total of seventeen states, the District of Columbia and the territories: Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Orleans, Michigan, and Illinois.
